Last week I spent a few days in New York visiting family. My dad and brothers stayed the whole week, but I was only able to go from Tuesday thru Thursday. Still had a blast though!
When we first got in town, I stopped and put some flowers on Grandma's grave. I don't get to do it much because we live so far away.
We hung out for the afternoon, and then went to the Lewis County Fair that evening.
While at the fair, everyone kept talking about how we had to get funnel cakes to eat while we watched the parade. I had never heard of them, but got the impression that they were good, and they definitely were! They are very similar to fried dough.
My cousin and I tried so hard to get a picture of these 4 men, but in every picture, someone wasn't smiling or was doing something silly. I think this one is the best:
NY is the only place I go and see my last name everywhere!
This next picture is really interesting. One part of the cloud is a pure white, and the other is gray.
It kept getting darker and darker, but never rained!
My cousin is the second from the left, holding the American flag.
This next picture is my dad and I holding the "twins." These two munchkins were born the same day, at the same minute, just in two different states. Plus, they are first cousins!
Then we watched the fireworks:
Day 2 coming soon!
