Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day, dad surprised mom with a dinner at Olive Garden and had the Silk City Barbershop Quartet come to sing a few songs. She had no idea! She thought they were going out for dinner with Grandpa & Gram, but when they were seated, there was 12 table settings so she had no idea who else was coming. She was beginning to get a little suspicious.

Valentine's Day happens to be Grandpa's birthday as well. This year he turned 70, so they sang happy birthday to him.

They brought this card that has a part of one of the songs on it with a red rose for her. Before dinner, she was wondering why dad hadn't done anything or said anything about it yet that day! Little did she know, they took care of everything!

Something Special

My mom has been cleaning out a closet, and she found a little handwritten note that my Grandma Virkler had given to me when I was either 3 or 4. Last Saturday marked the 3 year anniversary since she passed away, and it feels like it was just yesterday! I will certainly cherish this little note!
