Graduation

I finished school, now I can finally say that I have my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. It was a long and hard road, but in the end, it was worth it! I have not found a job yet; that also can be a long process. Graduation was Saturday May 16th at the XL Center in Hartford. My parents, siblings, grandparents, and my uncle and aunt all came. 

There were over 2500 graduates, and about 1700 of us participated in the commencement ceremony! It took a long time for them to call everyone's name! 

School Update - 5/1/15

I find it very hard to believe it is May 1st! Classes are officially done, as of last night. Next week I have 2 exams and then college is done! 2 weeks until graduation! It still seems so surreal; I don't think it will really hit me until the fall semester starts and I won't be heading off to school!

Well, hello New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Can't believe its already 2015! And its been a long time since I blogged. So far this year has gone pretty smoothly! I guess thats a good thing :) I've enjoyed my winter break, I haven't done a lot, but it's been really busy and has flown by! 

School starts on Monday, and its my last semester! I am looking forward to being done in May. I have received a lot of questions as for what I will be doing once I graduate in May. Honestly, at this point, I have no idea! My goal is to just get a full time job. We will see how it all unfolds! 

School Update

So far, my classes haven't been too stressful yet this semester. That could always change really fast though!

I am finding that I enjoy my early morning (7 AM!) walk on campus when there's hardly no one around!

All I do these days ... drink vitamin water and take notes :)

Summer & School Update

Well, this is it. The first day of the last year of college. I'm excited and ready for the year to be done! Just thought I'd share a few pictures.

Spring Break

For the week of spring break, which was a few weeks ago, my sister and I headed up to NY to spend the week with family. Aunt Alice had just had her hip replaced, so we were spending the week with her.

We went shopping in Watertown one day. On the drive down, we saw this gigantic snowman. And just for comparison, here's Rachel standing next to it!

We had so much fun tying blankets for all of our cousin's kids that Rachel and I decided to make our own too! Here's mine:

Found this picture of my grandparents. Love looking at these pictures because I never had the privilege of meeting my Grandpa Virkler. He passed away unexpectedly when my dad was only 8 years old.
