New Hampshire # 1

From July through September, my grandparents rented a house on Lake Winnipesaukee. Our family went up last week, although we weren't all there the whole week. On our first full day in New Hampshire, we drove up Mt. Washington.

Even though it was only 8 miles to the summit, it was very steep so it took about 1/2 hour.

We had to stop multiple times on the way up and down to give the truck a break!

We finally made it to the top! Looking down was quite the sight. We had clear visibility for 100 miles!

A very kind gentleman offered to take this picture for us!

I do have to say though, it was nice to get back to the bottom!!

IA/NY Vacation # 5

On Tuesday, we went to the Lewis County Fair and parade, as is our yearly tradition!

Watching Seth and Rachel go on rides:

 Parade Time!

Lewis County is the only place I can go and see my last name everywhere

My cousin, Joseph, marching with his fire department:

This was very neat. This guy was carving a bear as he was riding in the parade. How fun!

After the parade, we hang around for awhile and eventually watch the fireworks!

Well, that's it for my Iowa/New York vacation. But, stay tuned as I was in New Hampshire last week and those pictures are coming soon!

IA/NY Vacation # 4

On Monday, our family along with Aunt Alice and Aunt Carol went to the 1000 islands and did a boat tour. I didn't take too many pictures of the islands as I have a bunch from last year.

This year, however, we got off the boat at Boldt Castle. It was very interesting to walk around and see the beautiful grounds.

Me and Aunt Carol:

How's the hat look? :)

Afterwards, we went back to Aunt Carol's and had a delicious supper!
