Easter was spent in NY with the Virkler family. Most of us were able to go and it was nice to see those that live far away again!
The weekend started on Friday morning with me riding up with Brad & Dee and these little munchkins:
When we got to Aunt Alice's, she had everything set up for the kids to color eggs. Josh & Kate and their munchkins came over to have fun too!
On Saturday, we did a little shopping. On our way back, dad stopped by the old Naumburg church since my siblings had never seen it.
Then was dinner and lots of excitement!
We celebrated Timon's 1st birthday! His cake, Winnie the Pooh, was made by my talented cousin Dee! See more of her cakes here and here.
We also celebrated Aunt Carol's 70th birthday!
Aunt Carol trying out the chair that goes with the new patio set that she got from the family!
And then there was the other cake that was for the rest of us that either had a birthday within the last few weeks or has one coming up in the next few weeks!
After dinner, we went outside and went sledding since there was a little snow left! I have tons of memories from when I was young of sledding down that hill with all of my cousins and now the tradition is being passed to my cousins' kids!
It was all fun and games until an accident with my cousin Josh's face occurred. Good thing we have a few nurses in the family! After a trip to the emergency room, he came back with his face covered in gauze! Thankfully, no stitches were needed!
While Josh & Kate and Uncle John & Aunt Mo were off to the ER, the rest of us sang for awhile, another family tradition.
A few other miscellaneous pictures:
Overall, lots of fun and many more memories!
