I've been a little on the discouraged/depressed side lately. All because I don't have a job and am struggling to pay bills. But last night at church, the sermon was really encouraging. We read St. John chapter 4. When I opened to that chapter, I glanced down and saw these words written in red "I have meat to eat that ye know not of." It reminded me that God has a plan for me, and only He knows what the future holds. After church I went to a friend and told him about it. I told him how it reminded me of what he had told me on Tuesday night. God does provide, we have that assurance, but it's not always in the way we expect or the way we want. But He provides as He sees best.
The minister also talked in the sermon about the weather the past few days. It has been extremely hot during the day, in the afternoon we see the clouds form, and then in the evenings comes the thunderstorms/rain. He said if we look off to the east, we can often see a rainbow in the rain. And if we look at the clouds, we can see the silver linings. This was a great reminder to me: There is a silver lining behind every cloud! So to those who may be struggling as well, remember that!
I can completely relate.
ReplyDeleteBut one thing I know for sure. Is that we often worry and stress and sometimes even create a plan for God to use to fix our problems. But the miracles really happen when we step back and let God lead.
For years I have tried to find the 'right' job. I'm not sure if I found it (going through the process right now) but if this job works out it will be better than I ever could have dreamed. It will have been totally worth the wait and worth the struggle.
Don't give up. Keep applying...and keep networking! :-) That's a biggie that I had to learn!!!
